Getting up in the morning, before getting dressed, Lily picked off a piece of dried rice from her shirt and asked me: "Mommy, can I give it to ants?" "What to you want to give to ants? Oh, your rice?" I was laughing inside that she could find some treasure from her shirt. "Sure" I said.
"Where can I put it?"
"Oh, you can leave it in the park. Ants will find it."
"OK." She uses her two fingers holding on to the rice.
After 20 minutes, I noticed her still holding the rice while dressing and drinking water. And she wouldn't put it down!
Another few minutes passed before we finally walk out together with Naniko going to their daycare. The moment we got out of the building, Lily asked me, "Can I put it on the ground now?"
I totally forgot about it!!! "Sure." I said and find a nice spot on the grass. She happily and carefully put it down, and walked away, with great hope that some ants will find her dear present.

Guess what, on our way to see Dr. Hertz, Lily remembered something:
"Did the ants get the rice, mommy?"
"What?" I was a bit at lost.
"Did the ants get the rice I picked from my shirt?"
"Oh, yes. The ants were very happy, and want to say 'Thank you!' " I said, not expecting that she would still remember.
"And I say 'You're welcome!' " She seems so happy…
