Standing on the Eggshell

Amazing Planet_boxDVD_Out

2005 TV-PG 3 Episodes
Average of 134,063 ratings: 4.1 stars

This three-part journey from National Geographic travels into the distant past to watch our planet take shape through the actions of lava, magma and time; explores Earth's magnificent seas; and reveals the awesome power of wind, water and ice.

We are standing on top of a burning cracking eggshell, fighting with each other, waiting to be engulfed by the flame of fury from the Creator for wasting the Gift of Life. And there is a deadline for human to redeem themselves -- finding a new home, moving ALL of our belongings, before our home-world supernova takes place. And the Creator always keeps the promise. How did we get ourselves in this position? Which way are we going?

Let's start from the very beginning

In the beginning, there was nothing, no Universe. And someone thought, “I want to have some fun. Let there be light.”
Bang!!! !!! ... ... And there was Light.

How the Universe Works

Host Mike Rowe brings viewers on an enlightening tour of our current cosmic knowledge in this miniseries that starts with the Big Bang and covers alien galaxies and solar systems, as well as the space-shattering properties of a supernova event.

This is The Creation. Let us not delude ourselves to be something more than what we are --
"Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it." -- Chief Seattle's Letter To All THE PEOPLE.

And if we don't try to get along and cooperate with each other to find a way reaching a new home-planet before the Sun dies, we will eventually be no more than cosmic dust some time ONCE AGAIN in the future.  What a waste of all that ingenious design and 4.5 billion years of process to create Us!

Think about it.  All that energy from the Big Bang, following few simple rules like E=MC2, 1+1=2, G=mM/r2 ... from pure Energy, to particles, atoms, molecules, organic matter, simple life form, complex life form, consciousness, instinct, emotion, thoughts.

Life is the true miracle! But the God that created all this has also set a time limit to evaluate the Creation, or, our performance.  If human can not summon enough achievement to move to another planet, God would be very unhappy.

Or, as some people say, "I'll be long dead.  We will not be dealing with The Red Giant anyway."  It would be our children.  Should we care? Do we?

Look at what's on the news these days.  Look at the way people fight with each other. The whole world is on fire.  If you can hear the sound of those events, and share those people's feeling at those reported moments, there is nothing but Pain.  Can human being even keep earth alive for that long?  Even if we don't kill each other with violence, the way that human treated the Nature, would also eventually kill us all.  It is merely a question of which kills us first.

Wake up!!!  For the true God sake!  For the sake of the one that created all this we call Life and Universe.

99942 Apophis (/əˈpɒfɪs/, previously known by its provisional designation 2004 MN4) is a near-Earth asteroid that caused a brief period of concern in December 2004 because initial observations indicated a probability of up to 2.7% that it would hit Earth in 2029. Additional observations provided improved predictions that eliminated the possibility of an impact on Earth or the Moon in 2029. However, a possibility remained that during the 2029 close encounter with Earth, Apophis would pass through a gravitational keyhole, a small region no more than about 800 m (half a mile) wide,[7] that would set up a future impact on April 13, 2036. This possibility kept the asteroid at Level 1 on the Torino impact hazard scale until August 2006, when the probability that Apophis would pass through the keyhole was determined to be very small. Apophis broke the record for the highest level on the Torino Scale, being, for only a short time, a level 4, before it was lowered.[8]

That look

Can't forget that disappointed look on my baby's face as I sent her to bed after I told her that I am not going to buy the laptop she is so in love with.  Is it worth the money to remember that look?  Hasn't she proved that she is serious about study now.  She's earned it.  They BOTH have.   Ok.  Here comes Microsoft Surface Pro.  I can indulge my babies a little sometimes.

They have been very good kids.  They are growing up nicely.  :-)

Dear Teachers

If only you know what caused Lily to write this "Sick Note" behind my back (she had a stomach virus and didn't go to school today) after I yelled at her for having no justifiable reason...well only because I was under a lot of pressure of negotiating a 35k project, before Thursday.

Dear Teachers
Lily has had a stomach virus and diarrhea and mushy pooh and all this miscellaneous Blip(bird pooh). Please excuse her from being a overly dramatic donkeys buttocks about her fatal disease and give her the twelve deeds (no offence Greek mythology) to redeem herself for not coming to school today.
Yours truly
L
ilys wacky self
Let me state that this is to record one of my mistakes caught by me., after I heard Lily crying.  And Lily has done nothing more wrong than a normal child would.  But I was mean to her and was more critical than necessary.

Parents who make such mistakes often don't realize how damaging this kind of mistakes can be, because we are under pressure.  It hurts our connection with our children, and creates unnecessary obstacles for future communication.  After all, these are our own children.  Why should we consent and justify my own mistake by using their normal misbehavior as an excuse?  Let us be fair and discipline our children only to the degree that is proper and constructional.  Let me face my own weakness and accept that I am only human, and that I'd better shut up when I am nervous -- because most likely I will be wrong again.

P.S. You know what Lily was crying about after I yelled at her?
Mom yells and walks away into the kitchen " ...oh... D: I  never keep promises *Boohoo* I'm not normal D: and I'm stupid and my face is probably contorted really weirdly... and I cry weird and have no friends *boohoo* wait........... YES I DO *BOOHOO* I just INSULTED MY FREINDS!!! *BOOHOOO*.......................... okay... I'm Done..." Walks to my book bag and pulls out a book to read.

Anyway.                                                                                                                       12.5yr
